"A moment of relief" is a piece initially called "Free from fear" composed by Masami Ueda in 1999, for the game Resident Evil 3 : Nemesis. It is played when the player is actually resting in a safe room.
I love the franchise and I've been working on a lot of Resident Evil characters / pieces. And I wanted this one to be just refreshed. So I kept the basic melody of the piano, but went very minimalistic with it. Adding some sound design, drones and cello here and there bring a deep feeling of despair, and at the same time, of hope.
