Ji Woon Hak is a fictional character from the game Dead by Daylight. Basically he is a narcissistic Kpop superstar that burnt out and discovered his twisted attraction for murder. By recording the sound of his victims, he was able to include screams and suffering into his music. A real artist, if you ask me.
To answer a technical aspect of a video game (proximity), this music is constituted of 3 distincts intensities : Far / Close / Chasing.
A lot of sound design to describe the events of his new life, I've included some weird screams into synthesizers to align the music to the lore of the character. Cursed bass lines, dynamic percussion, and cyberpunk kind of sound to add dynamism, doing this piece was a lot of fun. (Nobody has been injured for producing it.)
